OUR PHILOSOPHY OF LIFE

Only proceeds from one of two and only two sources.

1. God as revealed in His Word, the Bible
2. Man's views which are always contrary to God's

The only thing we can know for certain about God is that which He chooses to reveal about Himself. All of our world and life view and behavior needs to be rooted, grounded in, and proceed from God's word.

OUR PHILOSOPHY OF LIFE NEEDS TO BE:

Biblical Epistemology
Biblical Aestetics/Ethics
Bible Metaphysics

OUR THEOLOGY
Our Theology needs to be thought out logically and content teachable and doable systematically, taken directly from the Bible which overrides all of man's feeble efforts to contain God.

The nine basic areas of theology are:

The Nine areas of theology
1. Bibliology-the Doctrine of the Bible
2. Theology Proper-The Doctrine of God
3. Christology-The Doctrine of Christ
4. Pneumatology-The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit
5. Soteriology-The Doctrine of Salvation
6. Anthropology-The Doctrine of Man
7. Angelology-The Doctrine of Angels and Demons
8. Ecclesiology-The Doctrine of the Church
9. Eschatology-The Doctrine of the Last Things

I suggest that a critical category that we need today that could have and should have been more focused on in the past is Cosmogony -- the origin and history of the universe and the affect of the fall on the universe.

10. Cosmogony

Some ungodly theologians act as if they believe it is their role to take all of those things that the eternal, all knowing, all powerful, God who made all things chose in His sovereign wisdom to leave vague or unspoken and clarify them for God.

When “Biblical theology” neglects “systematic theology” it becomes neither Biblical nor systematic and is based in human philosophical interpretations without complete Biblical context.

A DOZEN DRIVING PRINCIPLES

1. Man is not capable of coming to Christ simply by following reason because all are totally depraved and will by no means come to God on our own.

2. God uses many means to bring His people to Himself. One of those means is a logical and reasoned presentation of the facts empowered by the conviction and understanding from the Holy Spirit. If and only if empowered by the Holy Spirit man can see the clear logical case for Christianity thus:

3. We basically perceive a perspective of reality through our senses complemented by logic and reason.

4. Those senses and reason show us upon examination of creation that there must be a God.

6. Through the revelation of nature we can see the existence, power, basic morality, and control of God. We can know nothing of God except that which He chooses to reveal of Himself.

7. An examination of the “revelation” or sacred texts of all the world’s religions show although, all religious texts contain some mystery and other theological related elements, only Christian scripture claims to be an accurate historical account of the interface of God with man to be interpreted with logic and reason. The sacred texts of other religions do not claim that historical perspective but are purported by their proponents to be allegorical and mystical in their nature or at least not a historical testable record.

8. An examination of the predictive prophecy in the Christian Bible is without empirical explanation and vastly beyond the accuracy of coincidence in its detail and consistency.

9. An examination of all the tenets of the religions of the world, (including non-thestic religions such as Confucianism, Buddhism, and atheism) show that there are two and only two types of religion in the whole world. One is that man is someway somehow attempting to be “good enough” to get to god, become god, or achieve a reward. The other is that it is impossible for man to in anyway please God and therefore God must initiate, sustain, and accomplish the restoration of the relationship between man and God. Only Christianity teaches the second option.

10. An objective examination of the Christian scripture’s textual reliability, historical reliability, archaeological reliability, scientific reliability, transmission of the text makes it incontestable that
the Bible is at the very least, by a huge margin the most reliable document available from the ancient near east.

12. An objective examination of the Christian scripture’s predictive prophecy, pragmatic reliability and applied experience show that it must be revelatory in nature and is life changing when its true author is personally met – God.
